The Fat Sunday Mass included a blessing of couples celebrating their 25-30th wedding anniversary. A lunch followed at Eden’s Garden in Glendora. We wish all the couples abundant blessings in the years to come!
We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to host the relics of St. Sharbel. The whole community, including neighboring ones, came together in celebration.

St. Jude’s MYO hosted the 2nd Annual Lunch with Santa. Families and friends spent an afternoon enjoying lunch, playing activities and games, live entertainment, and taking photos with Santa! Thank you to everyone who made this very successful event possible!

The St. Jude Church community gathered in celebration of the Feast of the Assumption of Mary with a special Mass and prayer service. After the Mass, there was a delicious mana2ich (manouche) sale. Thank you to all who helped make it a success!
St. Jude’s MYO group began the summer with an outing to Boomers in Upland. The group had a great time and enjoyed many games, including miniature and cosmic golf, go-karts, and many more rides and attractions. Contact MYO Coordinator Anthony Boulahoud at aboulahoud@stjudemaronite.

The month of May is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Today, we concluded this special month with a Mass and consecration of a Confraternity of the Virgin Mary, a new group for the women of our Church.

The St. Jude community celebrated Mother’s Day at Phoenicia Restaurant in Glendale. There was Live Entertainment and dancing as well as mezza, dinner, desserts and drinks. Congratulations to Estphen and Eva Maroun and Joseph and Nasra Aoun who were honored at the event. Thank you to all the volunteers who planned the successful event. Everyone had a great time!!

Ten children celebrated the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist and received Communion for the very first time. Congratulations to them and their families! You may view past First Communion photos and lists of candidates under the “Children’s Program” tab.
Our Maronite Youth Organization (MYO) represented St. Jude Church at the Regional Retreat hosted at St. John Maron Church in Orange, CA. Several Churches from the west coast were in attendance, totaling 130+ youth. The retreat’s theme was “The Invisible Gifts of the Spirit.” The group learned about the fruit of the Holy Spirit and their power to transform lives. Thank you to all adult chaperones who helped throughout the weekend, especially with carpooling. We are so blessed and proud of our youth group!
Over 60 bowlers joined for an afternoon of bowling and arcade games! Profits made will support the growing MYO Group. Thank you Chapparal Lanes San Dimas for letting us use their facilities!

The St. Jude community started the Lenten Season with Mass and distribution of ashes. Every Friday during Lent there will be Stations of the Cross at 7:30 p.m.

Relics of Saint Rafqa have been touring around Maronite Churches all across the nation. Our Church was blessed to be apart of the tour. Hundreds gathered as we welcomed the relics through the celebration of Mass. You may view the whole album on our Public Facebook Page.

Everyone joined in celebration of the Assumption. After mass, everyone enjoyed fresh zaatar manoush prepared on a sage, lebni and cheese sandwiches, and a large variety of sweets.
