Eid El Marfa “Fat Sunday” 2016

The Fat Sunday Mass included a blessing of couples celebrating their 25-30th wedding anniversary. A lunch followed at Eden’s Garden in Glendora. We wish all the couples abundant blessings in the years to come!

We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to host the relics of St. Sharbel. The whole community, including neighboring ones, came together in celebration.

St. Jude’s MYO group began the summer with an outing to Boomers in Upland. The month of May is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Today, we concluded this special month with a Mass and consecration of a Confraternity of the Virgin Mary, a new group for the women of our Church.

+ Mother’s Day Dinner

The St. Jude community celebrated Mother’s Day at Phoenicia Restaurant in Glendale. There was Live Entertainment and dancing as well as mezza, dinner, desserts and drinks. Congratulations to Estphen and Eva Maroun and Joseph and Nasra Aoun who were honored at the event. Thank you to all the volunteers who planned the successful event. Everyone had a great time!!
May God continue to bless all the mothers in our lives. We wish them God’s unending favor, kindness, and love. Amen! +

+ MYO Regional Retreat 2015

Our Maronite Youth Organization (MYO) represented St. Jude Church at the Regional Retreat hosted at St. John Maron Church in Orange, CA. Several Churches from the west coast were in attendance, totaling 130+ youth. The retreat’s theme was “The Invisible Gifts of the Spirit.” The group learned about the fruit of the Holy Spirit and their power to transform lives. Thank you to all adult chaperones who helped throughout the weekend, especially with carpooling. We are so blessed and proud of our youth group!

+ Relics of Saint Rafqa Visit Saint Jude Church!

Everyone joined in celebration of the Assumption. After mass, everyone enjoyed fresh zaatar manoush prepared on a sage, lebni and cheese sandwiches, and a large variety of sweets.
